
What to Expect
At the initial appointment Vicky will explore what you would like from the first and subsequent sessions. She will move at a pace comfortable to you to accurately assess needs and make appropriate recommendations regarding what is likely to be of greatest benefit. She draws on a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to tailor treatments that meet her client’s specific needs. Vicky is clear what she would be able to assist you with and will discuss a plan with you. In some circumstance this may involve working with other professionals providing a tailored care package to bring you the results you are seeking.

Your Questions Answered
Do I need a referral?
Referrals are not necessary, yet a Referral with a Mental Health Plan from a GP or Psychiatrist may attract a Medicare Rebate. If you have any questions regarding the best way to be seen feel free to email or text me and we can discuss this further. When you are referred the professional who made the referral will be informed that you attended. Time will be allocated in the first session to discuss, confidentiality and what this means within the counselling space.
How many sessions should I book?
Your initial appointment is a chance to get to know each other and start the assessment process. Together we can start to develop a plan to assist in your recovery. Within this session we can start to plan sessions requirements and review times and frequency.
What are the fees?
Standard fees outlined in services. Some referrals attract a Medicare Rebate. In addition to individual sessions some people may benefit from the Gambling Disorder specialised program if being seen for Gambling Harm. Costing will be discussed when developing a treatment plan to overcome Gambling Harm.
